Drawing and Talking is a non-intrusive therapeutic intervention designed for children and young adults. It helps them express their feelings through drawing and storytelling, allowing them to process emotions quietly and at their own pace. This technique is not about diagnosing problems but rather about facilitating emotional expression in a safe environment.
Each Drawing and Talking session lasts for thirty minutes and costs £30. Over a course of 12 sessions, the total cost is £360. Sessions can be conducted face to face or online, provided that the necessary ICT setup is in place. Drawing and Talking is based on the attachment theory and the 12 sessions are structured to enable a bond with the trusted adult to form and that the closure is experienced as a positive. It is very important that the sessions are at the same time and day each week to develop this security.
